Description/Job Summary Under the general direction of the Senior Manager – Recruitment, the Recruitment Specialist will assist with the day to day running of a mix of legal recruiting and business services activities for the firm’s London, Luxembourg and Brussels offices, including the full 360 lateral recruitment cycle, the London Summer Associate Program and candidate outreach/graduate recruitment efforts. The Recruitment Specialist will also assist the Senior Manager – Recruitment with new and ongoing associate training and projects. Responsibilities/Duties Recruitment and Resourcing Assist with managing the PSL and agency relationships. Act as an ambassador for STB at all times. Manage agencies throughout the hiring process. Keeping candidates whether direct or through agencies updated throughout their process. Liaise with Office Management/IT with regard to new hires. Drafting offer letters and ensuring all templates are updated. Ensure all recruitment trackers are updated and kept up to date on a regular basis. Work with hiring direct where possible. Visa and Immigration With the oversight of the Senior Recruitment Manager, assist with the coordination immigration/visa-related matters and liaise with UK Border Agency and the firm’s external immigration counsel as needed. Relationship with offices outside of London Liaise with U.S. re onboarding and new joiners. Onboarding Advise the HR team – London /Legal Personnel of any conflict issues with the Associates and business service employees. Ensure appropriate personnel are informed in both London and New York; Ensure background screening is complete timely. Ensure each new joiner has correct right IT equipment and IT are given enough notice to ensure that stock available. Liaise with Assistants and Recruitment Assistant(s) to ensure induction schedules complete. Ensure new joiner experience is a positive one. Responsible for first day joiner emails. Invoices Receive and track invoices and arrange payments relating to recruitment agencies; fees, external immigration counsel fees and other departmental expenses. Assist the Senior Recruitment Manager with the preparation and monitoring of annual headcount and departmental expense budgets; Any other administrative duties that may be required from time to time Required Skills Educated to degree level; Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate both internally and externally; Excellent organisational, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills; Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels, including Partners, clients and external agencies; Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion; Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and experience with databases; and Knowledge of document management systems.
