Our client is a global brand that manufactures a range of snacks and treats. They are seeking a manufacturing technician to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to join one of the world's largest companies and work in a top-class facility.
Responsibilities
* Hold the operators in their area accountable to the expected standards in Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality, IPS, GMP, and performance across the multiple zones they are accountable for.
* Use problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve root causes.
* Responsible for prescribed routine maintenance activities; basic fault finding, non-intrusive first fixes, calibrations, and running inspections. Support and assist the GOs in replacing consumable parts, filters, sanitizing, lubricating, checking for wear, rebuilding, and restarting a machine. Work with Shift Technicians on engineering day activities.
* Identify and escalate continual improvement opportunities to the standard ways of working.
* Ensure the Maintenance Management system (SAP) is utilized effectively.
* Proactively escalate to the shift technicians and shift leadership team for assistance where necessary if issues occur outside of expected capability or role remit.
* Identify, coach, and escalate where required people performance/behavior gaps.
Qualifications & Experience – Manufacturing Technician
* Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or an autonomous role with some people coaching responsibilities.
* Results-driven and understands the link between action and results.
* Able to deliver in a fast-paced environment and work to stretch targets.
* Excellent influencer, capable of taking others with them.
* Ability to hold people to account and coach effectively to change behaviors.
* Can lead others to follow instructions/procedures and work as part of a team.
* Uses initiative and is capable of solving problems.
