Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to join our expanding team of Psychological Therapists in Step 4 Secondary Care Services. The post will be based four days in Newark and one day in Bassetlaw. You will contribute to the provision of specialist CBT within Step 4 Psychotherapy providing specialist CBT assessment and therapy for patients presenting with Anxiety, Depression and PTSD related Disorders. You will also offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to colleagues in other health and health-related professions and to other, non professional carers. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of CBP training programmes and offer CBP focused clinical supervision and consultation where appropriate. Main duties of the job Step 4 Psychotherapy, together with Psychological Health, Nottingham City and Psychology County make up Step 4 Psychological Therapies in the Adult Mental Health Directorate, which is part of the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This post is to provide clinical capacity to treat patients presenting with Depression, anxiety related disorders and PTSD. Other duties of the job will include, consultation and advice with other health care professionals, supervision and training programmes. You will also have the opportunity to influence service development within Step 4 psychotherapy Service's. The successful applicant will join the wider Step 4 Psychotherapy staff team that consists of cognitive behaviour psychotherapists psychodynamic psychotherapists, consultant psychiatrists in psychotherapy and senior registrars training in psychotherapy. This provides a range of psychotherapies appropriate to patient need, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Group Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy, and EMDR. Along with delivering treatment programmes, a wide range of training programmes is offered to staff from all disciplines at undergraduate, postgraduate and specialist levels. Step 4 Psychotherapy service also offers opportunities for staff from other teams and services to be visiting therapists at various stages of professional training.
