WSP are looking for Asset Management Consultants to join our team with flexibility in being based out in any of our UK offices with hybrid working.
A Typical Week Would Include:
* Working with analytical staff and technical experts to inform long-term capital investment programmes.
* Supporting the development of long-term improvement strategies, showing how things can be done better.
* Meeting clients to understand how they currently manage their assets and how they would like to manage their assets in the future.
* Supporting with bidding for and managing consulting projects.
* Providing technical advice at a subject level.
* Delivering complex technical projects ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management, and good communication and collaboration between WSP colleagues.
* Designing and delivering innovative engineering solutions for clients that resolve complex problems.
* Ensuring delivery of projects on time, meeting both quality and budgetary targets, whilst striving to exceed client expectations.
* Providing input into specific technical aspects of individual bids to support the production of high-quality winning submissions.
* Keeping up to date with technical and legislative developments in the industry and seeking out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile at a national level (e.g. conference presentations, publications, and participation in technical committees).
We'd Love To Hear From You If You Have:
* A strong understanding of the design and maintenance engineering challenges faced by at least one industry, preferably including highways.
* Experience of working with asset data systems, including configuring or specifying Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Decision Support Tools (DSTs).
* A demonstrable interest and understanding of asset management practices and theory.
* Broad knowledge of the regulatory frameworks affecting infrastructure development in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills to convey new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical colleagues effectively, both verbally and in writing, including in presentations.
* A desire to work and collaborate in a variety of styles: in large teams, small teams and independently; both online and in person.
* The ability to discuss ideas and plan competently and confidently.
* Strong project management skills, having delivered tasks or projects that include planning, managing and completing deliverables.
* The capability to engage and present to clients the creative and innovative development of engineering technology, contributing to continuous improvement systems.
* The ability to implement or construct design solutions and evaluate their effectiveness.
* Experience in managing engineering activities that contribute to sustainable development.
* Professional registration, such as being Chartered or Incorporated, or close to achieving it.
* A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
