Our Procurement Team provides support for regional and corporate projects. We collaborate with local and regional teams to innovate and manage the buying process, engaging in commercial sourcing management to achieve the best contractual conditions and results for the company.
About the role!
As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy and interface between suppliers and the entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Taking care of RFQs and contacting suppliers for competitive quotations.
* Placing and following up on Purchase Orders (PO) and managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
* Ensuring on-time delivery of required goods and services and monitoring their status.
* Detecting and signaling flaws in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, and suggesting improvements.
* Handling contract negotiation and discussions with suppliers.
* Managing supplier relationships to understand the business, gather market intelligence, assess risk, and ensure compliance with KPIs.
* Communicating with colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
* Managing problems and scheduling changes.
* Reporting on supplier performance and any non-conformity cases.
* Processing and managing suppliers' invoices and any required rectification.
* Understanding the content of purchased items and preparing comparison tables to find the best value.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing, buying, or procurement in the Oil & Gas or other energy sectors or technological industries.
* Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably with a technical background.
* Be fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
* Have some experience or adequate training on contracts/agreement templates.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Have experience with SAP or Oracle, which is essential.
* Lead procurement activities and contribute to decision-making.
* Work independently and self-drive tasks and responsibilities.
