North Yorkshire Police are looking to increase the number of talented Officers within the York & Selby (City) Command Area, due to an uplift in numbers we have vacancies for Police Constables at North Yorkshire Police. About The Job
* Desire- You will beenthusiastic and motivated to work in our Investigation Hub, here at York & Selby (City) Command.
* Teamwork- Working as part of a friendly team, you will be predominantly responsible for conducting the secondary investigation into domestic abuse crimes and volume crime offences.
* Offenders-You will be required to process arrested persons through custody, conducting interviews and where necessary ensuring urgent enquiries are completed whilst they are detained.
* Investigation-As the Officer in the Case, you will be required to manage that investigation going forwards.
* Details- This will include, identifying and completing all necessary lines of investigation such as obtaining further witness statements, overseeing house to house enquiries, reviewing CCTV, submitting and reviewing forensic evidence and phone downloads, as well as ensuring that any onward safeguarding is completed.
* Victims-Here in North Yorkshire, we hold victims at the heart of what we do and take a victim lead approach to our investigation work. Keeping them at the heart of what we do, and keeping them updated on the progress of their case is paramount to us.
* Documentation- Additionally, you will be responsible for completing and submitting any case files as well as attending Court as and when required.
* Workload-We deal with a high volume of investigations, and this is a fast paced and busy environment.
* Thorough- Strong organisational skills and a positive outlook are essential.

How to Apply - Recruitment Process & Conditions
* To be eligible to apply, you will have successfully completed your two/three year probationary period (depending on your entry route).
* NYP currently only accepts transferring Officers from other UK Home Office Forces.
* The recruitment process will follow a set programme of application, paper sift, competency based interview, conditional offer, vetting (including biometrics), medical checks, reference checks and fitness test.
* Applicants must hold the National Standard Driving Qualification.
* Please note that applicants attendance & disciplinary records will be assessed as part of the vetting process.
* The application form will be used to shortlist candidates, so please complete in detail, as it isn't a formality that you will be offered an interview.
