Seasonal Ecologist - Manchester We employ several field biologists and ecologists to assist with and undertake data collection and monitoring commitments on projects. We are looking for seasonal ecologists to support our project commitments on a range of contract types across our office locations in; Peterborough/Norwich, London, Cardiff, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Winnersh, Worcester, and Birmingham. About the Opportunity We are especially interested in recruiting experienced field survey leads, bat specialists, water vole specialists, botanists, and ornithologists. We would be keen to offer fixed-term and zero-hour contracts, full-time or part-time, to the right candidates. Our ecology team is currently over two hundred strong, which means technical and career mentoring to ensure your continued professional development. PrimaryResponsibilities: Supporting the national team of ecologists working on a variety of projects Survey support and logistic planning Ecological surveying and biological data collection Producing quality-assured ecology deliverables Report Writing Our Water and Environment business provides a focus for advising our clients on sustainability issues including renewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climate change and waste and resource management. Our environmental capabilities comprise of in excess of 1000 staff based predominantly in the UK, but with reach into Europe, the Middle East and in India. Aptitude or enthusiasm for a career in ecology (degree, or keen naturalist) Experience in ecology surveys and as a field scientist Eligibility for CIEEM membership You must be a good team player with a willingness to work away from your base office.
