Materials Planning Analyst

This role would also suit Logistics Planners & Supply Chain Analysts with experience of PowerBI.
Are you an experienced inventory/materials planning analyst with a background in logistics planning using MRP Systems and have good project skills? Do you have great communication skills and experience using SAP, MRP & the ability to create Power BI Dashboards to report on Project Status?
We have an exciting opportunity with a local company who are looking to source a person for a long term min 12 months contract which is likely to extend. You will be required to coordinate the implementation of a new MRP system for a company within a wider business. Ideally, you will have an understanding of typical areas within a manufacturing business from Purchasing, through general supply chain, into manufacturing & through logistics and stores scenarios. You won't need to have worked in all these departments, just understand the flow of orders & amendments through local systems and serve as the overall orders contact, providing advice on all MRP matters, then reporting back through to the wider group.
Essential Skills:
1. Purchasing, Logistics or Inventory management experience (materials management background)
2. MRP systems experience
3. Intermediate Excel experience
4. Confidence in dealing with large amounts of data and how to control the data through the process
5. Strong PowerBI Experience (including Dashboard creation)
6. Good understanding in some or all of Tableau, Alteryx, Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft Power platforms
Responsibilities:
1. Implement successful MRP/logistics solutions.
2. Data purification & analysis
3. Workforce & equipment planning
4. Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning
5. Integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of Purchasing & Logistics principles, systems and analytical tools.
2. Understanding of manufacturing and operation standard processes.
3. Experience of MRP Systems & Excel
4. Knowledge of logistics networks and how this works
5. Knowledge of Quality, Lean manufacturing, and an understanding of lean principles.
6. Data Manipulation
7. Strong Power BI Skills (including Dashboard creation)
8. College or university degree related to supply chain or equivalent job-related experience
9. Strong team player with strong communication skills.
This role is deemed inside IR35.
£30.00 ph. Umbrella (FCSA Umbrella Company - This role is deemed inside IR35)
£22.00 ph Paye
Duration: Long-term, Min 12 months, likely to extend.
