Job Description:
Leonardo has fantastic opportunities for Technicians at all levels of experience, working on high-profile projects for the UK MOD and export customers. Working across a wide variety of Electronic Warfare (EW) products and alongside subject-matter experts within domain, product, and technology fields. The successful candidate will contribute their knowledge and experience to the system integration, test, verification, validation and trials activities, supporting agreed project milestones.

This role will require office-based working, based at our state-of-the-art laboratories in Luton.
What you will do:
* Work alongside like-minded professional engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
* Manage day-to-day tasking of junior technicians supporting Integration activities.
* Develop junior technicians and apprentices through mentoring and coaching.
* Lead sub-system level testing and evaluation in a laboratory environment.
* Produce, analyse, and document test data.
* Support engineering design reviews, in particular test readiness and qualification review.
* Providing sub-system functional knowledge to support system testing.
* Ensuring evidence accumulation and logging from System-level activity.
* Support the definition and undertaking of systems acceptance test procedures.
* Engaging with customer network to ensure suitability of integration activities and timelines.
* Supporting development of the overall system trials strategy.
What we are looking for:
* Experience of preparing and performing testing at unit and system level.
* Experience in fault-finding and diagnosing test failures on Electronic/Avionic units, including defect reporting and corrective action recommendations.
* Demonstrable experience in writing and reviewing high-quality technical documentation for testing and equipment configuration and maintenance.
* Experience working with Electronic/avionic equipment including RF equipment at a wide range of frequencies, in test and trials environments.
* Experience using Electronic and RF Laboratory Test Equipment such as Spectrum Analysers, VNA's, Power meters, Oscilloscopes, Bus and Network analysers, and automated testing including simulators and emulators.
* Experience working with RF and electronics laboratory environments including working with Risk Assessments, COSHH controls, ESD and FOD procedures.
* Laboratory management, including maintenance and calibration of test equipment and conducting Risk Assessments and 6S reviews.
* Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities.
