Job Opportunity: Purchase Ledger Clerk\n\nLocation: Liverpool\n\nSalary £25000 - £30000\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nProcessing Invoices\n\nMatch, batch, and code invoices.\n\nCheck invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.\n\nEnsure correct VAT treatment.\n\nReconciling Supplier Statements\n\nRegularly reconcile supplier accounts to make sure everything matches.\n\nChase missing invoices or resolve any discrepancies.\n\nPayment Runs\n\nPrepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs.\n\nSet up BACS, CHAPS, or cheque payments.\n\nDealing with Supplier Queries\n\nHandle calls/emails from suppliers regarding payments or missing invoices.\n\nResolve disputes promptly and professionally.\n\nMaintaining Accurate Records\n\nUpdate and maintain the purchase ledger.\n\nKeep all financial documents organised for audits.\n\nSupporting Month-End/Year-End\n\nAssist in closing the purchase ledger for reporting periods.\n\nHelp with accruals or analysis of aged creditors.\n\n🔹 Skills Needed:\n\nGood attention to detail.\n\nStrong Excel and accounting software knowledge (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP).\n\nGood communication skills (for liaising with suppliers and internal departments).\n\nBasic understanding of accounting principles and VAT.\n\nApply: If you're interested and meet the above requirements, we would love to hear from you.
