Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Electrician to join our team in Liverpool, providing quality electrical maintenance services across our North West operations. As an Electrician, you will ensure that all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive work is completed to company and client specifications, protecting the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake repair and maintenance of electrical systems, with all works precisely documented in real-time on a PDA and CAFM system.
* Undertake reactive work, fault finding, and solutions effectively and in a timely manner.
* Finish all associated paperwork and provide feedback on a regular basis of work undertaken.
* Keep plant room condition in a clean and tidy state.
* Supervise and monitor sub-contractor works when on site.
* Ensure safety at all times by planning and working to Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA).
* Run and manage a Permit to Work system, in accordance with Equans' health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Be on the on-call rota and attend breakdowns outside working hours.
* Conduct audits of vehicles and equipment to make sure they are in safe working order.
* Provide ongoing input to improvement activities and give feedback on potential plant or equipment improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Industry-recognised qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship trade-qualified Electrician experience.
* Edition 18 qualification is a must.
* Experience in fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical installations.
* Legionella awareness and Asbestos awareness (desirable, but training can be provided).
* MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) Licence and First Aid certificate (desirable, but not essential).
* Competency in the allocated use of computers and CAFM systems for logging and reporting work.
* Clean driving licence and willingness to volunteer for the out-of-hours standby rota.
