The main purpose of the Team Leader is to manage the day to day PM shift operation and performance of the Kitchen which has 6 different operations: Stephan, tumbler, cooking, racking and tubing of product, pot cooking, and oven. Each operation has set kilo’s per hour target and you will lead the team to meet the daily targets set on each activity and develop the KPI sheets for each area. You will have direct supervision of 4 operatives. You will need to be confident to be able to deal with a wide range of employee / operational and health and safety issues in accordance with company policy and procedures. Control/minimise devaluations by following the recipes and the procedures that are in place Have monthly 1-2-1 meeting with all staff to improve staff engagement Design and take ownership of all procedures and SOP for all 3 areas The post holder will be responsible for the cleaning of both high and low care area and this will be the use of chemical and all staff must be trained to use and work in a safe manner Each area must have implemented 5s and the post holder must sustain the processes put in place Have a department weekly meeting to report weekly outputs and discuss any issues within the area for employee’s Work with the traceability project to improve traceability in the area Work with TL support to improve supply of all materials that kitchen need for meals to hit 100% plan attainment Develop and design attribute sheets for every cooking and operation within the kitchen area. Ensure all staff taste every batch before it is realised Aim to have each cooking with accurate materials in each cooking.
