Our Quality Engineer will be reviewing daily operating procedures and reporting on process quality issues, monitoring production targets for output and quality improvement steps and coordinating production department process activities with CI and production management and production planners. What you’ll be doing as our Quality Engineer: Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate reliability, precision, reliability and accuracy of processes, products and production equipment. Develop and establish quality processes and systems for inspection and sampling plans, quality trends technical quality proposals for improvement. Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements. Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components. Assist with the disposition process by involving in failure analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate with CI manager and suppliers, customers relating to quality trends, performance and corrective action. Verify conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys. Interact with production teams to identify and conduct technician training programs to increase manufacturing quality skills set. Manage the documentation according to VDA 6.3 and TS16949. Propose process optimisation's, including their implementation in order to maximise the efficiency / savings / standardisation. Ensure relevant documentation (Process flows, PFMEA, control plans, etc.) are place and up to date for all individual products or processes. Exceed customer satisfaction through the finished product and continually improve customer care and to develop and promote good relationships internally and with customers and suppliers. Communication to all departments and problem solving, proactively identifying, tracking issues and driving close out and countermeasures. The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Quality Engineer: Experience in process improvements such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC and control plans Able to work as part of a team and on their own with minimum supervision. Ability to lead continuous development of the Total Quality Management and H&S Systems. Customer and Supplier facing role with good interpersonal skills. Strong communication and organisational skills. Must have a demonstrated ability to analyse information (including numerical) and understand and interpret trends. IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft essential ) SAP an advantage. A self-motivated team player with a strong leadership style who takes the initiative to solve problems creatively and lead by example and hands on when required. Project management experience. Able to work under pressure. Need to have: HNC / HND minimum or higher in Engineering. 3 years’ experience working in an automotive component manufacturing environment. Working to TS16949 certified standards.
