Hatton Traffic Management is a leading provider of traffic management services across the UK. We also install and repair permanent vehicle restraint barriers and install permanent road signs.
Hatton has developed from a small family firm in the Northeast of England 40 years ago into a major force across England and Scotland within the highways, rail, and utilities sectors, working closely with our clients, as a key part of their integrated supply chain.
Over the past 8 years particularly, we have grown year on year from a turnover of £5million to £20+million in the coming year. We have won contracts with major Tier 1 contractors (Costain, Skanska, Balfour Beatty etc) as well as long-term frameworks with major Utility companies during this period. We have a significant forward-looking order book already in place, and many exciting tender opportunities in the pipeline.
A significant portion of our existing and future projects are based in the Southeast. To this end, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our business on a permanent basis. This role is be based out of our Chelmsford depot.
You will take on the exciting role of managing traffic management projects within the highways arena, helping us to continue to grow our market presence and market strength within Southeast England. This opportunity would suit someone with a traffic management background, but also with experience in vehicle restraint systems (though these are not prerequisites).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage projects end-to-end, from kick off meetings through to completion,
· Integrate into the Client teams to maximise quality of communication,
· Manage compliance with, and exceeding of, pre-defined project KPIs,
· Manage meeting of all contractual requirements
· Manage effective internal communication to ensure resource availability and Technical Team engagement,
· Identify working practises that create operational efficiencies,
· Review and authorise payment applications each month,
· Attend and participate in project reviews,
· Maximise profitability of assigned projects/frameworks,
· Maximise revenue potential with assigned Clients,
· Assist in tender process meetings as required,
· Ensure safe working environment and promote H&S by example.
Desired Skills & Experience
· Project managing highways-based works as part of a wider construction project.
· Lantra 12D low speed management experience, as well as ideally 12AB high speed management experience
· Ideally, experience in managing NEC3/4 contracts.
· Self-starter and strong facilitator of improvement and change management.
· Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
