We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Housekeeper to support out busy family. This role includes responsibilities for housekeeping, meal preparation, occasional childcare, and managing external contractors such as gardeners or maintenance professionals. Job Responsibilities This multifaceted role includes a blend of housekeeping, cooking, childcare, and contractor management to support the smooth operation of the household. Housekeeping Duties Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Change bed linens, replace towels, and manage laundry duties. Keep rooms, communal areas, and storage spaces tidy and organised. Monitor and restock household essentials. Report maintenance or repair needs promptly and follow up on resolutions. Cooking Duties Plan and prepare fresh, healthy, and balanced meals. Shop for groceries and kitchen supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes and managing food storage areas. Adapt menus for special occasions or dietary requirements. Occasional Childcare Duties Supervise children when required, ensuring their safety and well-being. Provide support during parents absence or busy schedules. Management of Gardeners and External Contractors Coordinate schedules for external contractors such as gardeners and maintenance workers. Ensure contractors complete their work to the required standards and timelines. Communicate with household management or property owners regarding any issues or updates related to contractors. What Were Looking For We are seeking a candidate who is: Experienced : Prior experience in housekeeping, cooking, childcare, or contractor management is highly desirable. Organised : Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities. Proactive : Takes initiative in managing household needs and solving problems efficiently. Culinary Proficient : Skilled at meal planning and preparation, with an understanding of food safety. Requirements Previous experience in similar roles is highly preferred. Must have Advanced DBS checks Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices. Comfortable working with children of varying ages. Ability to handle light physical tasks such as cleaning and organising. Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors and external service providers.
