Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team at the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). As an Instructional Officer (SIO), you will play a vital role in developing training programs designed to transform RAF personnel into competent and inspired workshop technicians.

£29,580 per year
Job Description
You will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical instruction to Military students within the fields of advanced materials manufacturing and metalwork techniques. This includes general sheet metalwork, welding, milling, turning, and CNC experience.
As an SIO, you will specifically:
* Deliver training and lessons
* Produce lesson plans and supporting course materials
* Participate in internal and external evaluation audits
* Ensure student conduct, punctuality, discipline, and dress standards meet required standards
* Integrate Literacy and Numeracy into lessons
* Ensure student safety briefs and observe fire, health, and safety precautions
* Maintain Continuous Improvement of the School and its outputs
Person Specification
The ideal candidate should be a great communicator with the ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences. You must be well organised, proficient in time management, and have good public speaking skills.
Essential criteria include recognised experience and background in a Workshops engineering environment, while desirable criteria include experience in a military engineering environment and familiarity with workshops engineering management practices.
