Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a position of Project Manager to join our team in Kampala.
The successful candidate will have:
* Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, international development, management or relevant discipline
* Additional training in community health, maternal and child health, or health systems strengthening is a plus
* 10+ years of experience managing health programs, preferably in community-based health interventions.
* Extensive work experience as a senior project manager in public health related projects, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality project outputs
* Proven ability to work with Ministries of Health, local government health departments, and community health workers (CHWs)
* Strong understanding of iCCM strategies, policies, and best practices.
* Experience in health system strengthening, supply chain management, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) of health programs.
* Ability to design and implement training programs for CHWs and local health staff.
* Knowledge of data collection tools and reporting systems (DHIS2, ODK, etc.).
* Extensive experience in organizing community health projects/programs
* Partnership experience working with key health partners, including those active on the iCCM, and liaising with the national MoH, representing a project and an organization
* Extensive experience of personnel management, budget management and providing financial oversight
