Accessible Homes and TEC Hub
This is a great opportunity to work in Accessible Homes managing the repairs to specialist items installed in Council properties, ensuring works are completed in time and within budget.
Accessible Homes and TEC Hub is a multidisciplinary team, with Occupational Therapists (OTs), OT aides, Caseworkers, Surveyors and Technicians and a team delivering technology enabled care (TEC). We work with people who wish to remain independent and safe in their own home by removing barriers in the built environment. Works completed are wide ranging but include installing lifts and level access bathing. In addition, we carry out specialist repairs to adaptations for Council tenants.
You will be overseeing repairs to Council properties with specialist adaptations. The role is new to the team so you will be instrumental in developing processes and procedures to ensure the process is well managed. You won’t be alone though you will work alongside colleagues in Response Repairs for support and guidance sometimes based at the Sandy Park depot.
Your responsibility will include ensuring orders are correctly allocated, contractors are completing work on time, checking in with tenants to understand issues and resolve any ongoing concerns, ensuring good housekeeping of the system for example monthly checks on open orders and closing where appropriate.
