We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team, based in Cambridge. Reporting to Head of Global Accounting. Responsibilities Financial Close & Reporting: Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS / US GAAP / Local GAAP. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments and accruals. Ensure proper intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations. Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple legal entities. Support consolidation of financial statements, working with the tax team and business finance team as needed. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local regulations. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to support audits and tax filings. Ensure all regulatory reporting is submitted accurately and on time. Monitor changes in accounting standards and local regulations, advising on potential impacts. Internal Controls & Process Improvements: Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies. Support the implementation and documentation of internal control procedures where applicable. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Assist with ERP system enhancements and automation of accounting processes. Audit & Tax Support: Act as the key finance contact for external audits, providing required documentation and explanations. Support the finance team in preparing tax-related financial disclosures. Ensure tax compliance in coordination with local tax advisors and internal teams. We’re a rapidly developing company and roles can change and evolve. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Finance remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives. About you To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be: Experience handling multi-entity accounting and statutory reporting. Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred. Big 4 audit background is a plus. 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in MedTech, Life Sciences, or Healthcare industries.
