Your new role
The Accounts Assistant role is critical to the smooth running of the accounts function and therefore the person fulfilling the role should have the following qualities:
1. Excellent organisational skills
2. IT Skills
3. Numeracy skills
4. Time management
Duties will include:
5. Inputting, matching and coding purchase invoices.
6. Setting up new supplier, subcontractor and expenses accounts in Sage 50 and EQUE2.
7. Obtaining and reconciling supplier statements and processing payments on a monthly basis.
8. CIS calculations on subcontractor payments in line with HMRC Reporting.
9. Accounts receivable: Raising sales invoices and issuing customer statements.
10. Credit control and cash allocation.
11. Bank reconciliations.
12. Assisting the Senior Accountant with month-end accounts preparation.
13. Other ad hoc duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed A proven track record of high volume purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations is essential to the role.
