This, among other services, include high voltage engineering solutions, from conceptual design, through to installation and operations and maintenance as well as blade services. The Role As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales, bidding, contracting processes and relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will work on developing efficient sales strategies to enable winning solutions and meeting and exceeding of the targets. From the promotion of products and services, and bidding solutions to existing clients, to seeking new clients and undertaking stakeholder engagement, to identifying risks to the JFR's achievement of sales targets - there will be plenty to get involved in The role will be remotely based with some occasional travel for meetings. Role Accountabilities Support the JFR’s Global and European Sales Teams, Strategic account managers & Country Managers in identifying and developing new accounts. Commercially responsible and managing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to bid submission. Complete bid / no-bid process thereby securing winning solutions and ensure contract signing as per group guidelines. Develop and co-ordinate contract winning solutions. Work closely with JFR Tendering Team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and drive solutions. Develop strong relationships with external and internal customers as well as joint venture contacts, manage relationships until contract signing and handover to the Operations Team. Responsible for maintaining and updating the JFR’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and follow-up on any submitted proposals. Monitor and track all the sales opportunity and biddings. Attend client meetings. Attend industry, government and other stakeholder events. Conduct market research and give insights to the business as well as stay abreast of the industry and report on market intelligence including client strategy and development, industry trends and new products and services. Create go-to market, sales and bidding strategies to ensure fulfilment of strategy. Provide an effective channel for customer feedback to drive continuous improvement. Mentor the junior commercial team members. Drive successful negotiations on contracts and secure commercial and contractual terms are in line with JFR’s guidelines. Support the JFR’s Global and European Sales Team, Country Managers and Senior Management team with other requests as required. Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Engineering degree combined with extensive commercial and negotiation experience, or alternatively business or commercial degree combined with strong technical understanding from renewables or other energy industry. Previous experience in sales and/or commercial areas in service businesses, preferably within offshore wind. Proven at delivering sales results and meeting financial key performance indicators. A solid understanding of good sales and business development practices, and practical experience of the standard contracting methods. Organised, accurate and able to work to tight deadlines. Flexible approach to work to support colleagues and meet department deadlines. Good business knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems. Ability to read/speak European languages will be beneficial. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills.
