Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working General Practice Nurse to join our clinical team. You will work alongside our GPs, Nurses, Healthcare Assistant and administrative staff to deliver the highest quality of care to our practice population. Whilst experience working in a General Practice setting is desirable, the most important quality we look for is a willingness to get involved in our team. Main duties of the job Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct, and to work with reference to local guidelines and practice agreed protocols providing both the delivery of evidence based practice for patients presenting with long term conditions and the provision of preventative health care to the practice population. Providing nursing treatment to patients both independently and on the participation clinical colleagues. Your main duties will be (but not exhaustive) Long Term Condition Reviews e.g. Diabetes, COPD and Asthma 24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring Wound Care Immunisations Health Screening ECGs Experience or a willingness to train in Diabetes and Respiratory is essential. In addition to this, you will be expected assist with areas of leadership, which may be through infection prevention and control (IPC) compliance, and developing of protocols to maximize QOF prevalence.
