Hours - 8am – 4pm
Long-Term Full-time with the potential to become permanent. The school are looking for a pre-school teacher who can cover a fixed term position. This position would be suitable for an ECT. Full planning and marking needed and the school use tapestry for assessment.
About the School:
Supply Desk are working with a welcoming and supportive small primary school with attached nursery school with 25 children or less attending each day. The school is a small 2 form entry near central Southampton that has a good reputation and is noted for acknowledging staff commitment and promoting from within.
About the role:
The role will be full time preschool teacher with time allowed for planning and marking. The school are looking for someone who is looking to work with KS1 or lower and has the capacity to support an ECT.
Key functions of the role:
To implement and deliver an appropriate, balanced and differentiated curriculum for all pupils incorporating the Early Years Curriculum
To facilitate, support and monitor the overall progress and development of all students
To foster a learning environment which provides pupils with the opportunity to fulfil their individual potential
To share in the development of the school curriculum, teaching materials, methods of teaching and assessment and review
Responsibilities:
To teach pupils according to their educational needs, including supporting early development of literacy and maths and assessment of work through Tapestry
Identify clear teaching objective, play and exploration opportunities
Setting high expectations of pupils’ learning, motivation and awe and wonder
Setting clear targets for pupils’ learning development
To direct and supervise Teaching Assistants within the classroom
To cooperate and liaise with other professionals, including colleagues and external agencies
To set high expectations in terms of behaviour and maintain a good standard of discipline through well focused teaching methods and implementing the school behaviour policy
You will be a Primary trained teacher who holds QTS and has experience of teaching in the UK, ECTs are welcome to apply.
