The Home:
Our settled, fully occupied and fully staffed, 3-bedded children's home in Wolverhampton, is more than just a structure; it's a testament to the Ubuntu philosophy.
Position Overview:
As the Children's Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards set by Ofsted in our 3-bedded home. With full occupancy and a fully staffed team, you will lead by example, ensuring the well-being and development of the children under our care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
2. Collaborate with staff to create and implement tailored care plans for each child, fostering their holistic development.
3. Maintain strong communication with external agencies, parents, and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive network for the children.
4. Uphold and enhance the 'Good' Ofsted rating through continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory requirements.
5. Lead and inspire our dedicated team to provide outstanding care.
6. Foster an environment where every child flourishes.

Requirements:
1. Passion for creating positive change in the lives of children.
2. Ofsted registration as a Children's Home Manager is essential.
3. Level 5 Qualification is essential. SUITABLE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE OF MANAGING A CHILDREN'S HOME. (this is absolutely mandatory)
4. Proven experience managing a children's home, preferably with a successful track record in maintaining high Ofsted ratings.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a dedicated team.
6. Managing a home and ensuring you provide effective support to all children, developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living.
7. Recruiting and supervising a team of Therapeutic Support Workers, mentoring, guidance, appraisals, and induction.
8. Completing regular reviews of support plans in line with individual needs, statutory guidelines and company policies.
9. Providing strategic development of services to ensure best practice, continuous improvement and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
10. Managing complex and challenging behaviour.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
