It is a pivotal moment in the development of the DASV Partnership in Peterborough City Council, which sees us growing our crucial service for our communities in Peterborough and the creation of this new role.
The Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Partnership lead on work across Peterborough to raise awareness and improve agency responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence. They ensure the Local Authority meets its statutory duty for provision of safe accommodation for victims of domestic abuse. They are also responsible for the Independent Domestic Violence Adviser Service, working directly with high-risk victims of domestic abuse.
We are looking to recruit a highly organised individual with proven extensive administration skills to join the team as a MARAC Coordinator.
The Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) is a weekly conference meeting which provides safeguarding interventions for the highest risk victims of domestic abuse in Peterborough. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Domestic Abuse Partnership Manager, MARAC Chairs and partner agencies to ensure that referral thresholds are met, meetings organised and accurate recordings of the meetings taken and distributed. They will also be required to provide administration support to other members of the team within the DASV Partnership. They will be required to record accurate and highly sensitive information onto the MARAC database (for which training will be given). The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be the first point of contact for a variety of local and national agencies. The role is required to work within the Safe Lives guidelines.
The post-holder must be able to work as part of a team, be flexible in their approach and support the wider team as required.
The post is advertised as a full-time position of 37 hours per week. This position will require an enhanced DBS check.
