Role Overview:
Founded over 20 years, Lawtech have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
The role of the Construction Administrator is to support the Procurement Manager with the creation of subcontractor orders, liaising with subcontractors, clients and site teams as well as assisting with general filing and system administration.
This position is 5 days a week at our Head Office in Gillingham.
Role Responsibilities:
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders on proposed works and during the Pre-construction phase.
* General construction administration
* Liaise with the Procurement Manager regarding project requirements.
* Updating procurement schedule in-line with programme.
* Daily review meetings Office & Teams Project Team.
* Liaising with H&S, Design, Technical and Estimating to ensure scope of works and delivering of works is fulfilled.
* Collating Tender packages, scope of works etc.
* Filing all quotation Tender returns.
* Making proposals & collating comparisons, submit to the Team.
* To arrange/lead pre-construction meetings & collate meeting minutes.
* Creating subcontractor orders
* To review all contract documents with commercial & the project team, prior to contracts being sent out (written approval).
* Tracking subcontractor signed contracts.
* Tracking & increasing Subcontractors & Lawtech project team on proposed works and during the Pre-construction phase.
* To attend site during Estimating, pre-construction phases.
* Taking & logging enquiries.
* Communication with Site Staff & Subcontractors to ensure attendances on site as agreed.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Attention to detail and analytical approach
* Good administration skills
* Contract management skills
* System Administration skills
* Excellent English language skills, dealing with telephone calls, visitors and emails appropriately. (Internally and Externally)
* Clean driving license and own vehicle
* Ability to drive to the sites if required, with the Procurement Manager
* Previous experience with Subcontractors & the construction industry (advantage)
* Advanced user MS Excel/Word, Microsoft packages.
