IT Security Manager
Location: Glasgow – hybrid working
Salary: £72-90K (up to 30% bonus, family health cover and car allowance)

Working within ScottishPower’s Corporate business, the Security Manager will lead the definition, implementation, and execution of the UK IT Security Strategy, following Iberdrola Group’s Infrastructure Security strategy. This will help reinforce our First Line of Defence in the company’s 3 lines of defence model.
This role reports to the UK Director of TPOC (Technology, Platforms, Operations and Cloud), working closely within and across TPOC, and supporting Risk and Compliance, Cyber’s CSIRT and all BISO functions. You will ensure security is embedded by default in all IT platform services.
With overall accountability for the Security Posture of TPOC’s services, you will ensure that the principle of Secure by Design is fully embedded across all services.
What you’ll be doing
The role will focus on the effective implementation, operation, evolution, and compliance monitoring of all Corporate IT platforms, not only in the formalism of the frameworks/rules/procedures/controls but also in the solutions design objectives and operational effectiveness.
You’ll help promote a cybersecurity culture and awareness inside the Technology, Platforms, Operations and Cloud team, supporting the identification of any vulnerabilities, identifying any security training requirements, and ensuring the successful implementation of the Iberdrola Group’s Security Plan.
The role has accountability in the following key areas:
1. Assisting in the definition and execution of a cyber security strategy as it applies to Technology, Platforms, Operations and Cloud environments.
2. Delivering the annual Security Programme in alignment with the Global Security Programme.
3. Design, implementation and operation of Scottish Power wide Cyber Security Key Controls.
4. Supporting Internal and External security Audits as they relate to the responsibilities across the Technology, Platforms, Operations and Cloud team.
5. Delivering and operating an effective and evolving IT Platform Security profile to protect the UK’s infrastructure assets and services, ensuring compliance with all relevant external security regulations and legislation.
What we’re looking for
Specialist knowledge of IT Security and IT Security Leadership, as evidenced by relevant industry qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM). Experience of IT Security Management in an organisation of similar scope and scale to ScottishPower. Proven security capability (including the development, recommendation, and delivery of security risk remediation plans). Awareness of key legislation and regulation impacting the delivery of IT Infrastructure Security. Experienced in assessing emerging threats and identifying associated risk remediation activities. Experienced in developing and communicating IT Security Strategies. Significant experience in assessing technical designs across multiple IT disciplines and defining appropriate security controls. Highly developed problem solving and delivery skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, recommend appropriate solutions and manage projects to delivery these.
