Responsibilities
Lead the planning and design of highway and transportation projects to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and opportunities for highway development.
Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits for projects.
Prepare detailed design documentation, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for highway projects.
Oversee project teams to ensure timely delivery of work and adherence to budget constraints.
Review and approve designs, plans, and reports prepared by junior engineers and consultants.
Stay updated with the latest engineering practices and legislation affecting highway development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required.
Minimum 7 years of experience in highway engineering and development management.
Strong knowledge of highway design principles, traffic engineering, and relevant legislation.
Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Annum: £42,679 to £50,211 per annum
