Job Title: Operations Manager - FMCG
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday: 8am - 4pm (occasional weekends/night shift overseeing as required so must be flexible)
Salary: Competitive - £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties:
* Report directly to the Development Director and act as the second in command on site with full autonomy over operations
* Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
* Lead and support operational teams to meet company objectives
* Monitor and improve operational processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
* Manage inventory, logistics, and supply chain activities
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce costs
* Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies
* Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed
* Analyse operational data and prepare reports to support decision-making
* Manage staff performance, training, and development
* Resolve operational challenges and implement effective solutions
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in an operations management role
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes
* Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach
* Proficiency in using operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in the food manufacturing or distribution industry
* Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge
* Project management experience
* Familiarity with ERP systems
