Position Details:
Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 08:00-16:00 Monday - Friday (Term-Time Only)
Salary: £13-£15/Hour Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring they remain engaged in learning.
Assist teachers in delivering lessons, implementing lesson plans, and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
Deliver SEN interventions and work with students in small groups or one-to-one settings.
Provide feedback to students and assist with assessments.
Work closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to support student development.
Help manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies.
Take responsibility for specific areas, such as speech therapy or behaviour management.
Supervise students during breaks, educational visits, and extracurricular activities.
SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:
Essential:
NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
Level 2 English and Maths.
Experience working with students with SEN, EAL, or speech and language difficulties.
Experience working in an SEMH School or supporting individuals with SEMH/ Complex Needs.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work with challenging students.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Must be able to commute to King's Lynn, Norfolk
