Commercial Manager
Are you looking to make a real impact in a growing defence start-up? Our client is building out their Commercial team and is looking for a Commercial Manager to support their Head of Commercial in bidding for and managing MoD contracts.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you’ll play a key role in bidding, contracts, and commercial strategy, helping to secure and manage MoD contracts across various defence categories. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you’ll help drive the business forward, ensuring compliance, risk management, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and manage bid processes for MoD contracts, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals
Assist with contract negotiation, review, and management, ensuring commercial best practices
Advise on commercial risks, compliance, and industry regulations
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth contract execution and business growth
Support the development of commercial strategies to help scale the business
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Experience in commercial/contracts roles within the defence or public sector procurement space
🔹 Understanding of MoD procurement and UK defence contracting frameworks
🔹 Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities
🔹 Proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in a start-up environment
🔹 Ambition to develop and grow within a fast-paced, high-growth business
