Purpose of the job
Embedded within the Product, Tech & Data team, the Business Manager provides support to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and the Chief Technology and Data Officer (CTDO). The role is critical to ensure consistency of information between the two sides of the business unit. Responsible for action tracking and coordination of the various stakeholders required to drive the businesses goals and objectives, the Business Manager enables effective business decision making, by allowing the leadership teams to be focused and results driven.
By acting as the point of contact for the CPO and CTDO, the Business Manager is also on hand to provide crucial administrative and organisational assistance when required.
The projects and work falling under the responsibility of the Business Manager will be wide ranging and often business critical and will involve working with highly sensitive information.
With two new leaders at the helm, the Product, Tech and Data business unit is currently undergoing a dramatic transformation as we define what the future of our product, and therefore the future of Collinson, will look like and the Business Manager will provide an invaluable support role during this time.
This is an exciting and unique role within Collinson, exposing the job holder to senior leadership discussions and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Day-to-day management
Be an integral and trusted member of the team with a solid understanding of the goals of the business.
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the CPO & CTDO and their senior leadership team where required.
Manage diaries if required and communication within the teams and across key stakeholders.
Manage meeting cadence across the business unit and be the point person for coordination of meetings and all relevant supporting materials.
Ensure the Team has all materials required to inform in-meeting decision making as well as taking responsibility for the action points to completion.
Monitor inbox, draft email correspondence, and respond on behalf of CPO and CTDO when needed.
Manage content and agendas for key events such as team offsites, monthly Town Hall meetings, strategic workshops, resource planning and any other required delivery-orientated meetings.
Project involvement
Support the leadership teams in driving cross-functional projects and prioritisation
With the team spread across multiple geographies, this will mean dealing with different timezones and cultures etc
Lead or contribute to projects spanning a wide variety of areas including business and operational strategy, product development, data, reporting and other key initiatives falling under the remit of the heads of the departments including the monthly reporting pack produced for the CIL Leadership Team. These will sometimes have competing priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Create supporting meeting materials and presentations to drive the purpose and desired outcomes for the senior leadership team while offering consistency and alignment across the business.
Utilise effective project methodology to drive projects forward and achieve their goals.
Produce and analyse reports where required.
Prepare and co-ordinate communication across teams and different business areas
Ad hoc
Arrange and organize business travel for the senior management team.
Organise and draw up expense claim submissions.
Help with various administrative and office duties as needed including raising and reconciling PO’s

Knowledge, skills and experience required
Proven experience as a Business Manager or relevant role
Expert at authoring presentations, manipulating spreadsheets, research and report writing
Influencing, consensus building, and sustaining relationships – with the ability to work collaboratively with both external and internal stakeholders, the latter may be spread across several different countries.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, inspire confidence and create trust with team around you.
Strong understanding of how matrix organisations work
Ability to deliver work on deadlines that have been set
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of seniority (written and verbal).
Ability to get up to speed quickly on new issues and to make sound judgements on them.
Capable of managing multiple competing priorities in an efficient and structured manner.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Solution focused and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work on administrative duties alongside leading projects.
Exceptionally organised and punctual
Experience using the full Microsoft Office suite.
