The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Performance Improvement Support Officer to provide senior administrative and project support within our team. This role involves supporting key service areas and management team members, handling sensitive and confidential matters, and liaising with colleagues across NHS Resolution and external healthcare organisations. Responsibilities include managing diaries, coordinating meetings, overseeing secretariat duties, and developing systems to improve service efficiency. The OSO will also resolve complex scheduling and project issues, prioritise tasks, and contribute to communication plans, requiring strong negotiation and influencing skills.

What you’ll be doing
* Provide senior administrative, secretarial, and project support to management and key service areas.
* Liaise with internal colleagues and external NHS or healthcare representatives as needed.
* Manage diaries, meetings, and secretariat duties, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
* Develop and improve systems and processes to enhance service efficiency.
* Resolve complex scheduling and project issues, prioritising tasks and supporting communication plans.

NHS Resolution operates several indemnity schemes, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, primarily for the handling of liability claims against English NHS Trusts and other commissioners and/or providers of NHS care.
The claims teams manage claims emanating from former PCTs and Strategic Health Authorities, which transferred to the Secretary of State. The Claims teams work in an interesting and dynamic climate, all contributing to a continually improving claims service.
