As an IT Security Analyst at New Look you will help protect New Look’s systems and networks, and the company’s information, from cyber-attacks and other unauthorized access. You will work closely with senior security professionals, gain hands-on experience in various security domains, and assist in ensuring the security and integrity of our digital assets.
This is a 7 months FTC role based in our Weymouth office.
Role responsibilities:
* Manage and address IT Security queries and service requests.
* Run day to day security operational and system administration activities and tasks, some will be internal systems and some with 3rd party providers.
* Continuously monitor security alerts, logs, and incidents to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
* Ensure information security incidents are resolved in a consistent, effective manner, minimizing their business impact and reducing the risk of similar incidents occurring.
* Designing, planning and implementation of Information Security measures and controls.
* Improve the efficiency and capabilities of our Information Security toolset.
* Scoping, supporting and scheduling of vulnerability, penetration and application security testing.
* Regularly review what is happening globally in the security arena to keep us in touch with any new threats.
* Running security education and campaigns, analyze statistics and come up with recommendations how to improve awareness.
* Conducting risk assessments on new installations, software applications and connections to wide area networks, 3rd party or public access points.
* Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on security issues.
* Manage user access controls, authentication mechanisms, and identity access management systems to ensure appropriate levels of access and data protection.
* Collaborate on security projects, including the implementation of new security technologies and improvements to existing security controls.
* Support the Head of Information Security in the review and development of Information Security policies, standards, processes and procedures.
* Supporting with internal and external security audits and tracking and reporting on compliance progress.
* Coordinating reports and communicating team activity, particularly threat numbers and levels addressed on a monthly basis, liaising with PMO and other IT teams.
* Develop, update, and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards to align with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations (PCI, GDPR), standards (NIST Cyber Security Framework), and industry best practices.
About you:
* Experience of working in an IT Security role for 2+ years is essential.
* A degree in IT or related business topic (desirable).
* Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
* Experience of systems security and development of best practice solutions and approaches.
* Experience of working with regulatory bodies.
* Proven track record in managing multiple projects/investigations.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams.
* High ethical standards and a commitment to protecting sensitive information.
Knowledge of security tooling such as:
* Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
* Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM).
* Identity and Access Management (IAM).
* Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).
* Knowledge of Darktrace (Desirable).
* Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender Suite, AD Manager Plus, MS Sentinel would be an advantage.
