We are looking for an experienced, efficient, and enthusiastic Chartered Building Surveyor to join us after another fantastic year across our real estate sectors. Due to exponential growth, we need a strong chartered surveyor who has a strong interest in Dispute Resolution or Expert Witness instructions to cover a variety of instructions across the Midlands region. We are looking for someone who has a natural interest in the litigious side of surveying and can provide the training and development to become and expert in this field. You do not have to have experience in these areas before however, we expect this person to have advanced knowledge of Dilapidations or Technical Due Diligence. Main responsibilities: Take ownership as a key point of contact for Expert Witness and Dispute Resolutions instructions across the midlands and take on a healthy pipeline of existing work/client base Focus on all aspects of core dilapidations instructions, including negotiations, across a range of commercial real estate Carry out vendor and pre-acquisition surveys of commercial property Support the building surveying teams and assist with work in dilapidations, TDD and other professional bias surveys. Develop and manage strong stakeholder relationships, win business and provide excellent customer care Support and mentor junior staff such as graduates Work closely with directors and associates to co-ordinate workload across neighbouring offices in the Midlands region Your experience: MRICS building surveyor Proficient in Dilapidations, Building surveys or Technical Due Diligence and experience of Expert Witness or Dispute resolution will be advantageous. Previous exposure to a variety of commercial real estate sectors Experience within a similar building/real estate consultancy Excellent report writing and communication skills, works well within a team and keen to enhance an already highly reputable service Aware of the local market and able to grow a strong network of contacts and business opportunities Full UK driving license and able to travel as required The Company Hollis is a leading international, independent real estate consultancy.
