With a Head Office and purpose built Technology Centre in Hexham, Northumberland, our core services include the design, build and testing of operational equipment for deployment in a hazardous environment.
We are looking for a new member to join the Operations Team supporting the delivery of projects for clients working in the Nuclear, Subsea and Renewables industries.
The role:
Working as an integral part of an agile team, the role will be supporting the Operations Director with delivery of QHSE aspects and oversight of the Supply Chain. The role offers a degree of flexibility on hours with scope for part to full time hours to suit you.
Working days are Monday to Friday at our office in Hexham.
Duties will include:
* Delivery of Health, safety and environmental aspects across the business in line with company processes
* Maintenance and development of the RED office and technology centre facilities and equipment for safe and efficient delivery in line with company processes
* Development and oversight of the Supply Chain to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of RED products and services
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for applications with the following criteria:
Essential:
* An HNC or degree in a relevant discipline
* Quality management experience with detailed knowledge of ISO 9001
* Experience of conducting and receiving audits
* In depth understanding of safe working practices and HSE Management (e.g. IOSH)
* Experience of working with engineering supply chain for complaint delivery
* Proficient in IT and engineering software packages
* Good planning, organisation and problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Dynamic self starter, able to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
* Experience of the offshore and/or nuclear industries
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes (specifically including fabrication and machining)
* Experience of developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures
* Be an active driver for continual improvement
