Job overview
Based at Epsom General Hospital, SWLEOC is a partnership commissioned by four South West London acute hospital Trusts, providing routine and complex elective and non-urgent emergency orthopaedic surgery services to patients aged over 18. SWLEOC was rated as Outstanding by the CQC in their 2016 report, and is one of the largest hip and knee replacement centers in the UK, performing around 6,300 procedures per year.
Main duties of the job
The fellow will work under the supervision of Mr. Ajeya Adhikari and Professor David H. Sochart, along with the Academic Surgical Unit. The position is designed for an individual who has completed a Higher Surgical Training programme or is within 3 months of their CCT and wishes to gain specialist surgical experience in hip and knee arthroplasty and knee ligament surgery.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with no on-call commitments. Additional work on Saturdays is available on an ad hoc basis.
