We now have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our High Street Finance team at our Support Centre in Swindon.
The main purpose of an Accounts Assistant is to perform general day-to-day accounting tasks and support the Accounts team.
What you will be doing
1. Entering invoices and credit notes into the invoice matching system, ensuring all invoices are correctly matched with our warehouse and stores stock system.
2. Ensuring correct authorisation is obtained for all invoices which do not relate to stock sold.
3. Raising queries for overcharged or missing stock.
4. Reconciling supplier statements to ensure correct payments are made.
5. Processing of invoices directly into the ledger system.
6. Dealing with supplier payment queries and debit note queries from suppliers.
7. Assisting other members of the team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
What we are looking for
* You will have previous similar experience gained from a fast-paced Accounts environment.
* You will be numerate and have an analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills are required, teamed with excellent communication skills.
* You will be a proficient user of Excel and have knowledge of performing Vlookups.
