Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Psychological Therapist for our Established Client, a UK charity that has been supporting vulnerable children and young people for over 150 years. The successful candidate will cover multiple Children Homes, the community, and supported accommodations, providing therapeutic guidance to children aged 7-25yrs. This position will allow flexible working, including hybrid and remote options, however travel throughout Wolverhampton and within the community is necessary.

Pay Rate: £37,5000 - £40,000 DOE per annum + £250 SCS Bonus
Location: Wolverhampton
Working Hours: Flexible | 37.5 per week | Hybrid Role with travel within the Community
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Contract (likelihood of extension annually)
Job Description
1. Facilitation of Reflective Practice for residential staff to help support therapeutically informed practice, staff resilience and emotional wellbeing.
2. Direct support to Looked After Children and Care Leavers to improve their emotional health and well-being, and to provide any additional support identified as needed by statutory services to those with mental health needs.
3. Working with children, residential carers and social workers where care arrangements are at risk of breaking down.
4. Consultative support and training to foster carers and residential staff where there are children in placement who have complex needs.
5. Support the development of the UK Therapeutic Service to help meet the needs of staff and young people across the organisation.
Essential
6. Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Therapy)
7. A minimum of three years working directly with vulnerable children, young people and families
8. Experience of dealing with crisis situations and working with emergency services
9. Ability and willingness to work outside of normal office hours as required
