Job Title: Apprenticeship Mentor
Salary: Point 22 - £26,994 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract: Permanent
Location: Peterborough College
We're seeking a dedicated Apprenticeship Mentor to join our dynamic team at IEG Group. You'll play a vital role in guiding and supporting our apprentices as they embark on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality personal development sessions aligned with the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework
* Liaise with recruitment officers and ALS mentors to ensure apprentices receive timely support
* Provide initial pastoral support, including career advice and guidance
* Collaborate with student services, ALS, and exam teams to develop retention strategies
* Monitor and track student attendance and punctuality, implementing interventions as needed
* Identify and address safeguarding concerns, referring them to the appropriate team
* Work towards improving attendance rates and reducing student withdrawals
* Contribute to apprenticeship recruitment activities
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Level 2 qualification related to support of learners e.g. coaching/mentoring/learning support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience of working with young people in a support or related role
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Knowledge of the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework
* Passion for education and student development
* Level 2 English and Maths
