Job Summary:
The Fleet Sales Manager (LCV) is responsible for fleet customer prospecting, sales and account management of an automotive manufacturer to drive profitable sales and increase market share. This role requires close collaboration with fleet customers from the corporate, rental, leasing and other sectors, dealerships, and other relevant partners to ensure smooth operation of sales and supply, always satisfying customer needs. The role also oversees inventory management, pricing strategies, and sales support activities related to fleet sales.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and execute strategic plans for fleet sales, including goal setting, market positioning, pricing strategies, and selection of sales channels to achieve sales targets, market share growth and profitability.
2. Collaborate with fleet sales customers, dealerships, and partners to establish and maintain sales channels and relationships, ensuring the availability and delivery of vehicles to meet customer needs.
3. Conduct market research and analyze competitor programmes offered by competitors (that are in the public domain), identify market trends, customer behaviour, and make recommendations for improvements, and formulate corresponding marketing strategies and promotional activities.
4. Oversee inventory management of fleet light commercial vehicles, including order management, delivery, and retrieval, ensuring inventory levels and vehicle types align with market demands.
5. Determine appropriate pricing strategies for fleet sales based on market competition, costs, and profit objectives to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
6. Develop and implement sales support activities, such as promotional plans, marketing materials, and training, to support dealerships and partners in promotion and sales.
7. Manage negotiation and signing of fleet sales contracts, ensuring contract terms comply with legal regulations and company policies in collaboration with fleet companies and partners.
8. Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to meet the needs of fleet sales programmes and support dealership sales activities.
9. Collect and analyze market data, monitor the performance and market feedback of competitor programmes (that are in the public domain), prepare reports and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of fleet sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
10. Track and resolve customer and partner issues and complaints, collaborate with relevant teams to address problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and brand reputation
11. Provide expert advice and support to the other Fleet Sales Managers in LCV matters.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree, although relevant experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience in fleet sales programme management within the automotive industry or related fields, with ideally knowledge and experience selling to the construction, utilities, public sector, telecoms, delivery sectors, with a solid understanding of relevant regulations, and best practices.
3. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and possess decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
4. Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to establish productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and strong negotiation skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, with the ability to conduct data analysis and report writing.
6. Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities, with the capacity to drive teams towards common goals and effectively coordinate and communicate in cross-functional collaborations.
7. Willingness to travel as required to conduct business meetings and negotiations with fleet companies and partners.
