A successful manufacturing company with 3 sites across NI. A family-run business with approximately 100 workers. Due to growth, the company has a requirement for a H&S Manager.
Your new role
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The role involves:
1. Conducting Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
2. Safety Audits and Inspections: Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Incident Investigations: Determine causes of incidents and recommend preventive measures.
4. Training and Education: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.
5. Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
6. Emergency Response Plans: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
Full time hours
Days, Mon - Fri. Flexible with start and finish times.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have NEBOSH Certification and proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You will have a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices and be a strong communicator. You will need to have a driving licence to travel between 3 sites.
