We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our dynamic team in Belfast.
The successful job holder will be expected to:
1. Plan and direct employment of on-staff or contract service providers to meet approved service requests. Establish and maintain a 4-week planning timetable to identify shortfalls and fill capability gaps.
2. Develop, and keep under review, a plan for the provision of services and utilities i.e. Electricity, Water, Gas, Air, and heating to meet the needs of the Company and its business sectors.
3. Establish a system of controls to monitor the demand and cost of all services utilities to the Company and its individual business sectors. Reports to be provided to management.
4. Monitor the budget allocation for all services and utilities (supporting the Finance department). Identify potential variances and the corrective actions to be taken.
5. Develop contingency plans for each utility to ensure a service can be provided in the event of an interruption to supply.
6. Review with Project Teams and relevant internal departments the provision of all utilities and identify improvements that can be made to reduce cost and environmental impact.
Qualifications
1. Formal qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance, or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of procurement activities (discussing requirements with suppliers, preparing documentation for purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices).
3. Proven experience working within a maintenance department within an engineering or industrial setting.
4. Experience assisting with the development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance system.
5. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook / Word / Excel).
6. Requirement for short notice/working outside of normal shift pattern as dictated by the task.
