Curriculum Manager - Electrical
Location: Surrey
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working in partnership with an ambitious FE College in Surrey to recruit for a Curriculum Manager - Electrical.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Head of Department to shape the strategic direction of the area, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality education and training that aligns with the college's core values.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning and coordination of the electrical department, including the development of timetables, collaboration with the central team to secure meaningful work experience opportunities, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will also contribute directly to teaching and learning, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Main responsibilities of the Curriculum Manager - Electrical:
1. Lead on the operational management across the Electrical department.
2. Responsible for the effective and consistent operation of the curriculum area including: accurate and timely completion of activities, processes, and procedures.
3. Manage and lead on learner recruitment, learner experience, successful achievement of qualifications, and progression of learners.
4. Lead and manage the development of the curriculum and its resources.
5. Setting and monitoring targets for learner participation, retention, achievement, and success.
6. Carry out agreed teaching commitment.
7. Participate in the Staff Development Review and Appraisal scheme.
8. Understand and comply with Safeguarding legislation and ensure that best practice is embedded.
9. Responsible for the management of the curriculum team staff.
10. Deputise for the Head of Centre where required.
The successful Curriculum Manager - Electrical will be:
1. Educated to a degree level or have an appropriate professional qualification.
2. Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
3. Experience and specialist knowledge within Electrical Installations.
4. Proven evidence of improving the quality of provision.
5. Ability to develop and maintain links with education.
6. Experience and knowledge of leading and coaching staff within an education and training environment.
7. Understanding of key events and issues facing post-16 education within Surrey.
8. Experience in developing curriculum.
9. Proven ability to establish and monitor a high quality of lesson delivery.
10. Experience of implementing quality assurance processes.
11. Proven written and oral communication skills.
12. Proven organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
13. Evidence of continuous professional development.
14. Knowledge and commitment to Equality and Diversity.
15. Knowledge and commitment to Safeguarding and Prevent.
