If so, we’d love to hear from you We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our clients after-recovery project, providing essential support to individuals who have recently completed rehab and detox programs. This service helps clients in dispersed housing across the Oxford area, empowering them to rebuild their lives and achieve sustained independence. About the Role As a Support Worker, you will: Assist clients in managing their tenancies, ensuring a safe and stable home environment. Provide guidance with finances, benefits applications, and budgeting. Support clients in attending meetings and accessing recovery programs. Collaborate with multi-agency teams, advocating for clients’ needs and ensuring coordinated care. Work with individuals who may be actively using substances, alcohol, or in recovery, often with underlying mental health challenges or complex needs. Handle challenging behaviors sensitively, fostering a respectful and supportive atmosphere. This service is generally medium-to-high risk, but situations may vary, requiring a flexible and empathetic approach. About You To excel in this role, you’ll need: Knowledge and experience in housing, addiction recovery, and homelessness support. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships. Resilience and adaptability in managing complex and sometimes challenging situations.
