About the role We are looking for some support for the Head of Research Governance and Compliance with the evaluation of the EthicsBath system, carry out compliance checks and assist with the implementation of research policies. Your main duties and responsibilities will be to support with conducting relevant compliance checks ensuring that they adhere to our ethical and legal frameworks, assist with updating and maintaining research-related spreadsheets, databases, and other record-keeping systems. You will also be required to prepare relevant reports on research compliance and governance activities for internal stakeholders. You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager. You are required to follow all University policies and procedures at all times and take account of University guidance. The Head of Research Governance and Compliance will provide line management support. Training in all aspects of the internship will be provided. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Governance and Compliance Intern to join our team and support the evaluation, monitoring, and governance of our research ethics system and processes. This internship will provide valuable experience in research governance, and policy development, contributing to the integrity and effectiveness of research within our organization. Reporting to the Head of Research Governance and Compliance and working collaboratively with other members of the team, (the Trusted Research Manager, the Research Integrity Manager and the Research Ethics Officers) you will develop a series of activities to help maintain a high standard of research integrity and regulatory compliance. These roles are offered on a part-time (18.25 hours per week), fixed-term basis with an expected end date of 14/07/2025. This position is remote and therefore use of personal laptop/PC will be required. Should we need you to travel to campus, we will expense your travel.
