Senior Benefits Advisor and Quality Lead - The Role: The primary focus of the post will be to effectively oversee the quality of delivery within the Advice team, and to support team members with more complex cases. The post holder will maintain an independent caseload of client appointments, alongside supporting and supervising the day-to-day work of the team of Benefits Advisors. This will include triaging cases, being available to discuss cases, mentoring advisors to develop their skills and practice, completing file reviews and carrying out other quality checks. A key element of the role is to ensure continued compliance with the Advice Quality Standard. Senior Benefits Advisor and Quality Lead - Key Responsibilities: - Overseeing the quality of welfare benefits advice delivery, ensuring compliance with the Advice Quality Standard - Providing guidance on complex welfare benefits cases, adopting a person-centred approach. - Supervising and mentoring Benefits Advisors, including triaging cases and conducting quality checks - Maintaining accurate records of service delivery and compiling statistical reports -Collaborating with internal teams and external organisations to enhance service delivery Senior Benefits Advisor and Quality Lead - You: - Experience delivering complex welfare benefits advice, including reconsiderations and appeals - In-depth knowledge of welfare benefits for both working-age and pensionable-age individuals - Strong attention to detail for accurate entitlement checks and clear case notes - Experience working within an advice supervision framework, ensuring quality standards - Excellent organisational skills to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust in various settings - Ability to provide constructive feedback and support others' development - Understanding of the needs of individuals at risk of losing independence due to age, disability, or other factors - Proficiency in IT, including databases (CRM), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Knowledge of Equality and Diversity issues with a commitment to Age UK Notts' policy Senior Benefits Advisor and Quality Lead - Benefits: - 24 working days (pro-rated for part time hours).
