Position: Solution Architect Industry: Education Location: Cambridge - Hybrid Working Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 - DOE As a Solution Architect, you’ll bring expertise in solution design across digital products and services within a large educational domain. You’ll focus on shared applications like Customer Master Data Store and play a key role in shaping and implementing architectural solutions in collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Delivery Leads. Business Processes: Understanding of business process management and how technology can drive transformation. Software engineering and development, to design and implement IT solutions using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and methodologies. Software architecture and design patterns, to apply best practices and principles for structuring, modularising, and documenting IT solutions. Software performance and optimisation, to measure and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT solutions, using appropriate tools and techniques. Software innovation and research, to explore and adopt new technologies, methodologies, or frameworks that can enhance IT solutions and provide a competitive edge. Cybersecurity: Software security and compliance, to protect IT solutions and data from unauthorised access, modification, or loss, and to comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Qualifications & Experience: Software architecture and design to create and document the high-level structure and behaviour of IT solutions, using appropriate standards, patterns, and principles. Applications Microservices Integration patterns and techniques Software development and testing to implement and verify functionality and quality of IT solutions, using appropriate tools, languages, and frameworks. Software deployment and maintenance to deliver and support IT solutions in the target environment, using appropriate tools, processes, and practices. Software communication and collaboration to work effectively with stakeholders such as users, developers, testers, and managers, and to present and explain IT solutions clearly and concisely.
