Mobile Service Engineer

Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working hours: 40 hours.
Job Function: To provide on-site engineering support.
Reporting to: Senior LOLER Controller
Liaising with: Customers, Operations Manager, Depot Manager.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned LOLER inspections for vehicles out on customer sites.
2. Attend breakdowns on site, fault diagnosis and correct rectification.
3. Correctly process all jobs on the works handheld tablet to include the allocation of labour and any parts used.
4. Ensure optimum van parts stock level is achieved, always maintained and reviewed.
5. Report any potential site revisits and customer recharges to the Service Controller.
6. Provide back-up support in other areas and depots.
7. Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and maintained as per the manufacturer’s guidelines at all times.
8. Ensure that the company’s health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to in relation to site operations.
9. Be an ambassador for the company, ensuring a polite, friendly and professional manner at all times.
10. Follow company’s Employee handbook policies and procedures.
11. Any other duties requested by your Manager.
Requirements:
1. Experience with mobile or vehicle mounted access platforms maintenance and inspection routines.
2. IPAF Competent Assessed Person qualification (including 1b Operators license).
3. Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience gained within the plant rental sector.
4. Experience in auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics/fault finding.
5. Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
6. Good interpersonal skills and an acute understanding of good customer service.

Pay: £18.00-£19.50 per hour
