Senior Policy and Best Practice Officer Climate Resilience and Net Zero (0.5FTE) (Fixed term contract, to 31 March 2026) This role is part time (18.5 hours per week). We encourage flexible working. National Parks are critical to supporting local communities, providing access to green spaces for the nation, and helping to tackle the dual challenges of climate change and declining biodiversity. National Parks England’s purpose is to be the collective voice for English National Park Authorities, helping us to achieve our purposes through influencing policy. This includes playing a key role in representing National Parks as we work with colleagues across National Landscapes, National Parks, and National Trails as part of the Protected Landscapes Partnership. We are seeking a Senior Policy and Best Practice Officer to support our policy and advocacy work in National Parks with a particular focus on climate resilience and net zero policy. As a key member of the team at National Parks England, you will contribute to research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that our work is grounded in the latest evidence and best practice. This role will involve working closely with colleagues in National Park Authorities and the Protected Landscapes Partnership, supporting the development of clear policy positions on key issues, producing policy briefings, conducting desk-based research, tracking political developments, and supporting engagement with decision-makers.Closing date: 5pm Wednesday 30th April 2025 We request no agency contact about this role.
